Major stocks indexes in the Asia-Pacific region closed mixed on Monday, ahead of key policy events in the week, said Trading Economics. The Central Economic Work Conference in Beijing begins on Wednesday and investors expect some clues on trade tensions with the U.S. and economic reforms. Also, the Federal Reserve is seen raising rates by 25 bps on Wednesday. The Nikkei 225 added 132 points or 0.6% to 21507; the Shanghai Composite added 4 points or 0.2% to 2598; and the ASX 200 gained 56 points or 1% at 5658. On the other hand, the Hang Seng and the Kospi closed nearly flat at 26,088 and 2,071 respectively.
