Asian ADRs Move Higher in Friday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.54% higher at 157.69 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Friday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by used car e-commerce platform Uxin ( UXIN ), and by mobile applications developer LINE Corp ( LN ), which climbed 7.9% and 4.4% respectively. They were followed by utilities company Korea Electric Power ( KEP ), and oil and gas company China National Offshore Oil-CNOOC ( CEO ), which rose 2.6% and 2.1%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by wealth management firm Jupai Holdings ( JP ), which plunged 28.4%, followed by personal finance company X Financial (XYF), online consumer lending company LexinFintech (LX), and data analysis provider Gridsum (GSUM), which fell 8.7%, 4.2%, and 2.9% respectively.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by IT companies SIFY Technologies (SIFY) and Infosys (INFY), which rose 1.2% and 0.8% respectively. They were followed by digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE), and telecommunications operator PLDT (PHI), which were up 0.3% each.

Biotech firm ASLAN (ASLN) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 8.4%, followed by HDFC Bank (HDB), which lost 1.3%. Mining company Vedanta (VEDL), and telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) were off 0.7% and 0.5%.
