Stocks moving on news include:
(+) SCYNEXIS ( SCYX ), which was surging more than 91% after the company said results were positive from the first interim efficacy analysis of the ongoing FURI study.
(-) Pulmatrix ( PULM ) was down more than 7% as it priced an underwritten public offering of more than 5.3 million shares of common stock at $0.17 per share, or a 4.8% discount from the stock’s previous close, for total expected gross proceeds of $0.9 million.
In other sector news:
(+) Baxter International ( BAX ) was slightly higher amid a 22% surge in its Q4 adjusted earnings to $0.78 per diluted share, coming in above the $0.73 average estimate from analysts polled by Capital IQ. It’s Q1 EPS guidance was below analysts’ projection.
