(-) Hutchison China MediTech ( HCM ), which was down by more than 14% after it said that a phase 3 clinical trial on fruquintinib to treat advanced non-small cell lung cancer failed to meet the primary endpoint of a significant increase in overall survival compared to placebo.
(-) Valeritas Holdings ( VLRX ) was falling more than 17% as the medical technology company priced an underwritten public offering of 75 million shares, of series A warrants to purchase 75 million shares, and of series B warrants to purchase 75 million shares.
(-) ADRs of AstraZeneca ( AZN ) were over 3% lower after the UK-based drug maker said results of a phase III trial for a non-small cell lung cancer treatment did not meet primary endpoints.
