But the online shopping holiday isn’t a slam-dunk for Amazon.

Big bricks-and-mortar retailers like Walmart and Target have been stepping up their digital strategies.

Case in point: Walmart’s third quarter e-commerce sales jumped more than 40% compared to the same period a year ago. And its market share of U.S. online sales overall is growing.

Many analysts are expecting OPEC to make production cuts come Dec. 6, and that could give oil prices a boost. But there’s also talk of OPEC making cuts that don’t seem like cuts in an effort to placate President Trump, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

-and Dan Loeb’s Third Point is waging a proxy battle to replace 5 of them with its own nominees.

The activist firm argues that the iconic American company suffers from bad management and needs a refresh. The soup seller has had sluggish stock performance and weak returns on invested capital. Perhaps Third Point will make changes to turn that around, but it needs the votes to make that happen.

On Thursday, November 29, we’ll see the results of Third Point’s pot-stirring. That’s the date of Campbell’s annual shareholder meeting.
